I emailed the guy who wrote the gaoprrm about this. He was slightly snotty and told me to refer to thehelp page. But the help page is equally ambiguous. It was my fifth question though so I imagine he was getting sick of me. Ultimately it doesn't matter as as far as I can tell it's only used for one set of stats (game with most casualties).
